USSF Referee Clinic Scheduled in Morton!
by posted 10/27/2011

f you are interested in becoming a Certified USSF Referee, please plan on attending the clinic to be held at Morton Park District's Freedom Hall (349 W Birchwood) on February 11-12, 2012.  This is a great opportunity for anyone that would like to be involved with the game rather than just watching from the sidelines.  You'll also learn the rules and how to apply them in the spirit of the game!  Players can also make great referees too as they understand the game from the player's perspective and already know many of the rules!  Referees of all ages are needed though please note that while there is no age requirement to become a referee, you must possess the maturity and confidence to undertand and apply the rules.  While you can ref as few or as many games as you want, this is a job and must be treated accordingly.  All new referees will be placed with more experienced referees to help you gain the confidence and knowledge to call a good game.
Clinics are also available for recertifying referees this same weekend.
